The Tournament

The 2007 Asia Oceania Korfball Youth Championship is open to Regional korfballing countries for athletes born between 1 January 1984 and 2 July 1991. This Championship is a qualification event for the World Youth Championship in 2008.

Five teams have confirmed their presence at the Championship. Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, China, Australia and the hosts, New Zealand will start a round-robin tournament finishing with ranking games on Sunday.

Competition and Tournament Rules have been published. See the Tournament Rules page for the full details. This includes the points allocation during round-robin processes, and the deciding of the game in case of a tie at the end of normal playing time.


Players and Managers are reminded that as an international event, drug testing is an expectation of WADA, IKF and AOKF for this tournament.

All Therapeutic Use Exceptions (TUE's) must be registered with the International Korfball Federation before 11 June 2007.
