Canterbury A took the Korfball National Provinicial Championship on points differential over Canterbury B, after Canterbury B took a surprise upset by beating Canterbury A in game 3. Wellington A, fielding a team lacking the strength of previous teams performed admirably pressing high levels of defence to come second lowest equal for goals conceded. The Auckland B team, in its first NPC grew confidently in its play and structure, and looks to become a viable contender in the future NPCs.

The greatest improvement was shown by the Auckland A team, with the critical match being the drawn Auckland A – Wellington A game.  Had this match finished with a definite result, the table would have read quite differently.

Congratulations to all teams, captains, coaches and managers for the quality of game play. Thanks to the tournament organisers, for running a well-oiled competition.

The next NPC will be held in Wellington in September, 2006.
