A month after the end of their winter season, Canterbury’s korfballers are moving outdoors to play a 12 week summer korfball competition. A New Zealand record for outdoor korfball, ten teams have entered the Riccarton Korfball Club event, including a number of new faces after a concerted recruitment drive by the club.
All games are at Riccarton Korfball Club’s home ground of Middleton Park, starting at either 6pm or 7pm on Tuesday evenings from 24 October. The round-robin competition will run for six weeks before Christmas, starting again on 30 January after a summer break.
Junior korfball for primary school age children will also be running at Middleton Park on the same evenings from 4.30pm.
