Prospects for a fourth New Zealand korfball region are looking good with the arrival in Waikato of experienced British korfballer Stuart Doran.
Stuart has played and coached korfball for over 20 years, mostly at British Korfball Association national league level, in Kent. He moved to New Zealand in September and is now living in Raglan. Korfball New Zealand has a number of contacts with ex-players, schools and others in Waikato that should provide a useful start to the establishment of regular korfball in the province.
Look forward to a Waikato team debuting at the Korfball New Zealand national provincial tournament in Taupo in January.
